Welcome to Room 7 at Waihi Beach School, 2013.

We are starting school on the 7th of Februrary.

Miss Hardley, Mr McKechnie and James moved the furniture and all the stuff from Room 10 into Room 7, with a lot of help from anyone who was around. Surprising to everyone involved was that everything fitted. ☺

Our class is going to grow very quickly in the first 3 weeks of school. It is very exciting to have all of our visitors starting.

Some important things...

1. This is a huge transition for most children, expect tears, but know that they stop usually within about 1-2 minutes after the parents leave.
2. For the first few weeks it is normal to feel really tired.
3. It is really important that the children are at school for at least 15 minutes prior to the bell at 8.45. This settling time is important for children to get sorted, see friends and get comfortable.
4. The end of school bell is at 2.45pm, if you arrive earlier please remember we will be doing important notices prior to the bell and children will be getting used to the packing up routines.
5. Please ensure you have completed your enrollment forms and returned them to Mel at the office.
6. If you wish to receive txt, photos or emails from your child and/or Miss H please ensure you keep your details up to date.
7. Stationary boxes have been issued to each child. You will get an invoice and can pay at anytime to the office (no EFTPOS sorry) or you can set up payment options with Mel. For the children that started in 2012 I will customise your lists.
8. If their are any concerns tell Miss H straight away, small things should be addressed quickly to avoid them building.
9. Children should bring their book bags and togs everyday.
